ShineBead began with three people, a lot of beads, and a shared love for creating beautiful things.
My mother, my aunt, and I started making beaded jewelry simply because we enjoyed it. What began as a hobby gradually became a bigger part of our lives, and in 2021 we started sharing our creations with others through our handmade jewelry business.
Over the years, our love for beadwork grew beyond making jewelry.
We wanted to share the designs, patterns, and creative ideas behind the pieces we made. That led to ShineBeadPatterns, a space where other makers can discover bead crochet, brick stitch, peyote, fringe, and other beadwork patterns and create their own jewelry.
And then came the next step: what if you could design your own patterns?
That idea became ShineBead, our own bead pattern creation app, built to give makers a place to turn their ideas into patterns.
Today, ShineBead brings all of these things together: handmade creations, inspiring patterns, and creative tools. What started as our family's hobby has become a way for us to share our love of beads with makers everywhere.
And we are just getting started.
